As a congregation we want to give all the support we can to those who have gone out into the world to proclaim the gospel. We can do this by keeping ourselves informed, praying regularly and giving generously as God enables us. There are a number of ways in which this can be done:
The first and foremost way that we contribute to a very wide range of mission in our denomination. We use monthly envelopes and have an annual target to reach along with all other congregations. This is one of the most exciting ways of supporting mission through our Church. For more information go to: www.presbyterianireland.org and click ‘United Appeal Briefing’.
Peter & Anna Crawford: Working in Portugal with European Christian Mission. Peter was brought up in First Coleraine and together with Anna have been in overseas Mission for many years. They are currently involved in Church planting at ‘Park of the Nations’ in Lisbon, Portugal. We encourage our members to support them in prayer and financially. There are monthly envelopes through which you can contribute or give via First Coleraine by direct debit. For more information about ECM and the Crawfords contact William & Maureen Warnock Tel: 028 7032 6202. Also: visit Peter and Anna Crawford’s website.
Joy Fleming. Employed in scientific work in Asia, seeking to be a friend and witness to Christ in her daily employment. As a congregation we keep informed about her work and support in prayer. Financial gifts have also been given from time to time.
At the end of each year our Church Committee have been able to send money to many areas of mission work. It has been a great joy to be able to use resources in this way.
If you would like to contribute financially to our mission support please contact the office. We have regular envelopes which can be used to give to specific individuals and also to the United Appeal.
